Itinerary

Day 1 Paracas Tour

10:30 a.m. Arrival in Paracas / upon arrival in Paracas, a representative of our agency will be waiting for you at the bus station with your name on a sign and then you will be transferred to the tourist pier. If you are staying in Paracas, the pick up would be from your hotel in Paracas.

11:00 am. Tour of the Paracas National Reserve.

We will leave in our tourist bus at the indicated time and begin the tour of the Paracas National Reserve.

During this trip we will visit the Paracas peninsula contemplating the colorful reddish yellow desert, we will observe the rock formations, the capricious rocky buildings made by two architects the wind and the waves, beaches such as Yumake beach, Roja beach and Lagunilla beach, in this last beach, we stop long enough for you to take a walk, look for the best photos to have lunch in one of the best restaurants you see on the beach or just swim in calm and clean waters.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 Ballestas Islands – Huacachina

08:00 a.m. Ballestas Islands & Candelabro Tour 2 hours of speedboat tour (glider).

The pick up will be from the hotel 15 minutes before 8:00 a.m.

In the Ballestas Islands you will be able to appreciate the Candelabra, a figure similar to the Nazca line with many hypotheses about its origin, we will also see from very close a fabulous marine fauna, such as large colonies of wolves on the beaches and rocks. It is also possible to see groups of Humboldt penguins in small caves, as well as a wide variety of shorebirds. 10:00 a.m. Return from the tour and transfer to the hotel.

11:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and transfer by tourist bus from Paracas to the Huacachina Oasis in the City of Ica.

12:30 pm. Reception in Huacachina.

1:00 pm. Start of the Ica City Tour to the following places: Plaza de armas of the city of Ica. Artisan Wine Cellar “El Catador”; where, they will have the explanation of the wine and pisco, but made in an artisan way, where the press that is used to press the grape can be appreciated. In this place they also have free time for lunch. Then we go to the Huacachina Lagoon; known as the oasis of America, a beautiful place surrounded by palm trees, huarangos and immense dunes.

17:00 p.m. Buggy & Sandboarding – Where you can experience adrenaline and do adventure sports such as sandboarding and you can also appreciate from the top of the dune the beautiful landscape of the Oasis and the sunset.

18:00 p.m. Return from the tour, to then be transferred to the Ica bus terminal or to the place indicated by you.

Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to do the Areneros tour the same day if I will leave for Paracas / Lima at 6.30pm?

If possible. The tour starts at 4:00 p.m. and lasts 2 hours, so you will be back around 6:00 p.m. If you are already registered on the bus, we will wait for you to return from the tour if there is any delay.

Is sandboarding safe?

Sandboarding is safe as long as you are responsible so take it easy, as every year there are accidents of people who go too fast. You will not win against a wall of sand

Are the Sandboxes safe?

Yes, the buggies of our recommended operator are very safe. Their drivers will make sure you have a ton of fun, but they will never take any chances. All seats have a seat belt so they are well fastened. Not all operators have modern and safe sandboxes so it is important to be careful when booking tours.

Can I handle the sandbox myself?

Sandboxes cannot be operated. All the drivers are certified, you cannot drive a sandbox through the dunes without a special certificate or permit. You will understand why once you do the tour!

I want to spend more time sandboarding, can I rent boards per day?

Yes. For those who want to stay in Huacachina and hone their skills there are many places in town where they can rent boards for themselves by the hour, half a day or a full day.

I was late and missed the tour. Can I change it for the next day?

Unfortunately if you are late and miss the sandboarding tour the operator will charge the full amount for the NO SHOW as your seat was reserved in the sandbox and it was not sold to anyone else. If you would like to book the tour again for the next day there is no problem, but you will have to pay again.
