The Sacred Valley is an inter-Andean valley of the Urubamba River that welcomes the traditional and most beautiful towns in the Cusco region: Pisac, Calca, Yucay, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Maras and Chinchero. And on its hills, meadows and mountains it shelters the most important tourist attractions of the Inca culture.
This fertile and extensive valley is nestled in the middle of the mountains belonging to the mountain ranges of the Peruvian Andes. In Inca times it was a place highly appreciated for its magnificent geographical, climatic and agricultural qualities. It served as a place for the cultivation of the best agricultural products that delighted the most demanding palates of the court and the Inca people. And it was the resting place and residence of the Inca nobility.
Currently, the Sacred Valley of the Incas produces the best corn in the world. It is one of the most appreciated and visited places in Cusco, Peru and the world. In addition, it is a place of passage and rest for the thousands of travelers who go to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
At 08:30 in the morning we will depart from Cusco to the Sacred Valley.
In the first part of the Sacred Valley Full Day Tour we will visit the platforms, temples and sacred precincts of the archaeological complex of Pisac. In addition, from one of its many natural viewpoints, we will observe the impressive natural landscapes of the Sacred Valley.
Then, we will descend to the Pisac craft market to appreciate the most varied traditional crafts that radiate magic and color. And in case you want to take a souvenir souvenir, we can also make some purchases here.
At noon, through the banks of the Vilcanota River, we will continue with our trip to the TUNUPA RESTAURANT, in Urubamba. Here we will taste a delicious Andean buffet lunch of exquisite Cusco cuisine.
After lunch we will go to the military fortress of Ollantaytambo to explore its most important stone buildings: the great stone platforms, the Temple of the Sun and the source of the Baths of the Princess. Also, here we will have the opportunity to remember the legendary Inca soldier Ollantay, the main character of the Ollantay drama who not only fell in love with and married the daughter of the Inca Pachacútec, but also built this mythical Inca fortress that bears his name.
After our guided tour in Ollantaytambo, we will return to the city of Cusco.
But, before arriving in Cusco, en route we will make the last stop at the Chinchero Archaeological Complex to visit its magical Inca palace and its beautiful colonial temple. And to appreciate the best fabrics of the high Inca textiles and to observe one of the best sunsets.
Finally, together with the sunset and with the images of an exciting day still drawing in our minds, we will board our tourist bus and head towards the city of Cusco.

The tourist ticket allows you access to the different places of interest in Cusco. You can buy it directly at each of the visiting sites, although we recommend you do it beforehand at Av. El Sol 103, Cusco, at the main office, to speed up the entries and take advantage of the time visiting the places. There are two types:
The integral tourist ticket is valid for all places in the three circuits, in a period of 10 days, while the partial tourist ticket is valid for only one of the three circuits, in a period of one or two days, depending on the circuit.

The climate in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is temperate and dry. The cold and heat decreases or increases as you go through the various towns.
The dry season (from April to October) is the best time to visit these places as the rains are scarce. In addition, it is the coldest time of the year (especially at night). Temperatures vary from 23ºC. and 3ºC.
The rainy season (from November to March) offers rainier days but less cold (at night). Temperatures vary from 21ºC. up to 6ºC.
